CELEBRATE “SI-BER” MONDAY WITH UNCLE SI & THE SICOTICS
NASHVILLE – The biggest online shopping day of the year just got crazier with Uncle Si &The Sicotics renaming the worldwide social shopping spree “Si-ber” Monday in recognition of Uncle Si Robertson, the “Duck Dynasty” patriarch and namesake of the unconventional, unapologetic, unabashedly fun country trio.
Uncle Si & The Sicotics is set to release their self-titled, debut EP on Cold River Records on Dec. 8 with a pre-sale Friday, Dec. 1 on iTunes.
“I’m not entirely sure what all this online fuss is about,” offered the cantankerous star. “The only streams I’m in usually include a boat.”
The collection of songs on Uncle Si & The Sicotics is the brainchild of Uncle Si, his daughter-in-law Marsha Robertson, and creative force Bridgette Tatum (writer of Jason Aldean’s two-week No. 1 “She’s Country”). Tatum produced and co-wrote the project with Robertson and Uncle Si and said the resulting songs are based in faith, raised in family, and radiate fun.
There is certainly something for everyone. Like the Louisiana native, Uncle Si & The Sicotics is a tasty gumbo of country music, hip hop beats, rock ‘n’ roll, and Southern gospel capturing Uncle Si’s wit, wisdom, and wry observations on popular culture.
Fans are clamoring for a chance to experience Uncle Si & The Sicotics, who have assembled a live show with the same energetic, mind-blowing experience that is captured on the EP. It’s a journey through music with straightjackets, rubber chickens, rhinestones, and electric entertainment.
Uncle Si & The Sicotics “has a live feel that draws the listener to what I’d call a living-room jam session with the same humor, warmth, and creative energy that made the family so popular with viewers for years,” said Cold River Records President Pete O’Heeron.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, Uncle Si was born Silas Merritt Robertson. He and his brother Phil Robertson where the bearded patriarchs of the family behind the Duck Commander brand, a company specializing in the sale of hunting gear and the companion reality series on A&E “Duck Dynasty.”
Uncle Si & The Sicotics formed in late 2016 and had an immediate chemistry that fans liken to Jerry Reed and Ray Stevens mixed with a little Aldean.
And like Cyber Monday, Uncle Si & The Sicotics are a real deal!
